Solar Twilight - Deimos

Alright time to develop this AU a bit more!

Despite it's small size, Deimos has become a key location for humanity's dwindling population across the solar system. Even though Mars has become too hot for humans to colonize, it is a world rich in iron and other minerals making it the center of ore production in the solar system. After being mined on the surface, the materials are brought to Deimos where they are refined. The moon's small gravity makes it very easy to launch rockets and transport the ores across the solar system wherever needed. Deimos is also home to all the miners who work on the surface of Mars during the day. Half of the space station's surface is being occupied by a large urban complex.
