Solar Twilight - Triton

Triton is the least hospitable of the colonized worlds in the sol system. It's freezing temperatures and extreme distance to the sun makes the moon a harsh and barren land with very little sources of energy. However, in it's race to discover interstellar travel, humanity found Triton to be an ideal emplacement for scientific research on cryostasis, which could help tremendously if the research on faster than light travel was to fail.

Scientific outposts have been built around the moon and it's numerous cryovolcanoes are used as an energy source to power the laboratories. Today most of the cities and settlements have been abandoned, but the scientists remain on Triton to continue the research in cryogenics.
